Therapy
Individual Counseling With Young AdultsYoung adulthood is a unique time of development -- the brain continues to mature, which often creates shifts in relationships, feelings, thinking patterns, and actions. Strategies that worked when one was younger might not work anymore. Certain stressors can occur to shake a young adult's system. Therapy provides a safe place to explore specific issues and to decide on whether new ways to cope might prove to be useful. Even though the young adult's "job" is to launch, family is still vitally important, and where appropriate, therapeutic work to help repair family relationships, occurs.

Individual Counseling with Adults
In our culture, adults often live challenging lives, balancing self needs, family, and work lives. Stressors can occur at any stage of adulthood, creating opportunities for individuals to reflect on their experiences and whether their current mode of response is optimal. Together, with the therapist, clients will evaluate, explore, and experiment new strategies that could be more adaptive than current responses.
