Therapy, Insurance & FAQs
FAQsOut of Pocket Rates for Sessions 2024:
My current rate for 50 minute sessions is $150 (when a client isn't using insurance or I don't accept their insurance), and this is consistent with what other doctoral level psychologists charge in my community. In certain circumstances, I'm able to provide a sliding scale. When clients use health insurance I do accept, I agree to accept the payment that particular insurance company provides. Please check whether your particular insurance will require you to fully pay for your therapy sessions as part of fulfilling your deductible. Some deductible plans work this way while other deductible plans ask clients to make copays. It is your responsibility to know this prior to beginning therapy so you don't have surprises. I will also double check to the best of my ability. Copays, coinsurances, deductible payments, and out-of-pocket payments are expected at the time of service. If you're seeking out-of-network reimbursement, you and I will agree on the frequency of super-receipts if you want to submit those to your insurance company. This isn't any guarantee of reimbursement, and I strongly encourage you to check out whether OON benefits are something your insurance plan offers you, and if they do, what percentage of the fee they will reimburse. As of 2024, all my therapy services will be offered to new clients via the Zoom Online platform. Therefore, all payments for services will happen through credit card/debit card. As part of the registration process, you will be given a payment agreement form and a credit card information sheet to file a credit card with me. This is what will be used for payment. |
Individual Counseling with Adults"In our culture, adults often live challenging lives, balancing self needs, family, and work lives. Stressors can occur at any stage of adulthood, creating opportunities for individuals to reflect on their experiences and whether their current mode of response is optimal. Together, with the therapist, clients will evaluate, explore, and experiment new strategies that could be more adaptive than current responses.
Insurance and Out-Of-Network As of 2024, I currently accept: Aetna; Cigna; Connecticare; Husky; Medicare; Optum; Oxford, United Healthcare If I don't accept the insurance you have, and your insurance provides Out-Of-Network benefits, I'm happy to provide you with a super-receipt to assist with you accessing reimbursement for services. Cancellation/Missed Appointments Policy Cancellation of appointments needs to occur 24 hours ahead of appointment in order to avoid being charged full fee for that appointment. Of course, there are times where true emergencies happen or for some clinical reason the appointment needs to be cancelled at last minute. We will evaluate exceptions on a case by case basis. Please check out "My Training and Approach" page to learn more about the various models I bring to the therapy process. |
